The MTX TX665S are high-end 16.5cm diameter separate speakers. They handle 90W RMS (it's a …lot). They have an impedance of 4Ω to suit any amplifiers. They are equipped with all the best: MTX aluminum chassis for optimal rigidity, aluminum phasing warhead to neutralize standing waves, pressed paper membrane for more musicality, detail and warmth, magnet giant for incredible power handling, extra-large 30mm diameter TSV TIL coil for detail at all levels and power handling thanks to better cooling, phenomenal neodymium magnet tweeter and 28mm silk dome in diameter for a soft and dynamic sound, external passive filter with esoteric components (ultra musical polypropylene capacitors, unsaturated air coils), rubber suspension to handle large deflections while remaining reliable.
The TX665S shines with exceptional construction. Its sound quality is breathtaking (It is at the level of TX8). Its price remained at the T6/TX6 level.

Recommended efficient associations

RFL4120 RFL5300 TX480D TX2275 TX2450 amplifiers


• Best results with RFL4120 or RFL5300 class-AB amplifiers (those using Sanken grade Hifi transistors).
• Best used at the front. For the rear, the TX669C will be perfect.
• Very good results with the passive x-over. The tweeter 6dB/Oct soft slope opens up the stagin and make an easy connexion with the woofer.
• Its clarity and power handling allow it to be combined with one or two 30cm 12" or 38cm 15" subwoofers.

It is essential to use the passive x-overs to obtain the best sound quality and to protect the speakers. Be careful, without a x-over, the tweeters burn.
