"There are people out there who just can not get enough bass. They should try the MTX RFL12.

The RFL12 is not the biggest subwoofer from MTX. You can find in the same series the RFL15 (15“), and of course, the legendary Jackhammer, which could not be missed at any car hifi event in the past. But the RFL12 is already a heavy caliber. With 37.5 kilos of weight and its impressive appearance, the intention is very clear. This is not for delicate minds, this is nothing for sound gourmets who want to listen to the details of the triangles.

—Construction—
With the RFL12, everything is solid, starting with the thick cast basket and with the cone made from thick air-dried paper. The full-surface glass fiber cap is double-sewn. The foam surround with its high profile allows huge strokes. There is 50mm of space (50mm up and 50mm down) for a lot of movement inside the basket. To reach this, you will need a lot of amplifier power into the 2Ω voice coil because the cone is held very tight by the dual spider and you need a lot of force to move it. The voice coil of the RFL12 is very large (100 millimeters) with giant flat wire. This can be observed through the huge windows inside the basket. The linear stroke can be estimated as at least 15 millimeters. But the most impressive highlight of the RFL12 is its magnet. Between the big iron plates there are three ferrite rings. Each one is 25 centimeters wide and 25 millimeters thick. Such an accumulation of magnetic material is not common. You wont see that every day. The bottom pole plate is 35mm thick, the one at the top is 35mm thick and neatly turned. The pole piece is vented and allows a lot of air to travel through the 50 millimeters hole.
All these points prove that the RFL12 is an uncompromising woofer.

The most amazing thing from our measures is that the RFL12 is very easy to use. This is very practical. It can be finely tuned, without any extreme enclosure. It works easy in 55 liters with an "almost boring" range of 30Hz-80Hz, like any other standard woofer !
In our very compact enclosure, it still produces 85dB/1W/1m (this is not common), despite the fact that it has a moving mass of more than 300gr.

—Sound—
This is about pure bass which can be so loud that you won’t hear the rest of your equipment.
When the RFL12 rocks the car, you do not have to worry about insulation, because the complete car rattles anyway. The woofer presses hard with a lot of deep bass and a lot of sound pressure level. But that's not all. Thanks to its high tunability, the RFL12 can also be used to listen to music. If you turn the subwoofer level down, you will notice an extremely deep and powerful bass fundament. Deeper organ pipes are converted realistically into sound pressure. And this is really pure fun.
However, the RFL12 is made for loud bass, to beat the car passengers with every stroke.

—Conclusion—
The MTX RFL 12 is a serious subwoofer for bass fanatics. But it can also plays high-quality music, if necessary. If you buy this heavyweight, you should not only be physically resistant, but also have to plan the money for a stiffer car suspension.

Absolute top class
Price/value : 1,2 (Very good)

—Pictures comments—
The motor structure of the RFL12 impresses not only by sheer mass, he is also top processed.
Underneath the 35 mm thick pole plate, three 25mm thick ferrite rings deliver a steady magnetic field.
Very practical : The RFL12 can be tuned linearly in a very easy way as it delivers 85dB on all the range.
Brutal power for Basslovers"

What did you say ??? :) I can't here you, the music is too loud...
