Chevrolet S10 "Xtreme"

This is one of Mitek’s most Xtreme and Outrageous demo vehicles to date.

From the special paint on the outside to the Thunderin’ audio system inside. This car looks cool and plays clean, low and loud!

Owner: Mitek Corporation MTX Audio Designed and Built By: Jason Planck and Craig Marsh of the Mitek Corporation Vehicle Information: Year: 2003 Make: Chevrolet Model: S-10 Xtreme Paint color: Custom Paint by: Tim Armstrong of Kreative Kustoms Modifications to body: Shaved door handles, tail gate handle, tail lights, and antenna. Cowl Induction hood by APC, roll pan with 1969 Cadillac tail lights, mirrors by Street Scene. The cab was cut through to the bed so that the installation in the bed of the truck could flow through to the cab. Wheels/Size: KMC Venom chrome wheels with Spin-Tek Stunner chrome spinners to give the truck the always in-motion look Tires/Size: BF Goodrich G-Force T/A KDW 255 35 ZR20 on the rear and 245 40 ZR18 on the front Suspension: Air Ride Technologies complete 4 way fast bag suspension. Road Grater kit on the rear and Cool Ride on the front Modifications: K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit Generation 2 Interior Information: Modifications to interior: V-Racing fully adjustable racing seats, Weapon R four-point seat belts, Carriage Works chrome steering wheel and rear view mirror. Audio Information: Source Unit: Alpine in dash AM/FM DVD player (DVA-7996), Alpine remote CD changer (CHA-S634), Alpine XM Radio Tuner Module (TUA-T020XM) Front speakers: 2 MTX 6 ½" separates (T6.6) in each door panel and 2 - MTX 5 ¼" (T6.5) separates replacing the factory speakers in the dash. Subwoofers: 4 - MTX Thunder 9500 10" Superwoofers (T9510-44) Amplification: 4 MTX Thunder 801D amplifiers supplying power to the subwoofers (1 amp per woofer), 1 Thunder 202 to provide power to the 5 ¼s in the dash and 1 Thunder 1004 for the 6 ½s in the doors. System total wattage: 3800 watts with the woofers at 2 ohms and the rest of the speakers at 4 ohms. Multimedia/ Navigation System: Video source units and locations: Alpine DVD player (DVA-7996) Monitors type and locations: 3 - Icon-TV 8" monitors (P8000M), 1 in the dash and 2 in the tailgate. A 15" monitor (M151) was custom installed in the bed of the truck. Accessories: Sound damping material brands and locations: Noise Killer Extreme. Speaker cable, brands and gauges: 8 gauge black and red StreetWires power wire was twisted and used as speaker wire to ensure maximum power to the woofers. Special notes: Extensive metal work was used cosmetically and structurally in the installation with use of chrome plated aluminum and diamond plate. Interconnects (RCA): StreetWires Zero Noise 6 RCA cables and Zero Noise Video cables. Power/Ground gauge: StreetWires 1/0, 4, and 8 gauge red and silver wire was used for power and ground. All combined together using StreetWires distribution blocks. Battery and location: 9 SVR 80 12 volt deep cycle batteries were mounted in a custom fabricated steel battery tray that was mounted to the frame of the vehicle under the bed. Power supplements and location: 2 - StreetWires 20-24 volt capacitors (PSC241D). Distribution block, fuse holders, fuse values, and locations: StreetWires fuses, distribution blocks, and fuse holders were used throughout the vehicle consisting of 2 - CBR44S fused distribution blocks, 2 - DB0240 and 4 - DB048 distribution blocks, 3 - 44120, and 2 - 44140 waterproof 4 and 8 gauge in line fuse holders.
